Meddling in the Affairs of the Oromo Is Not the Way Forward

Before we raise the purpose of this brief reminder, let us make clear its premises.
The overriding objective of the Oromo people’s struggle for freedom is to bring back the dignity and liberty that our nation lost before 125 years. Nothing less, nothing more. The army of Menilik, supported by some western nations, is to blame for this horrible act of subjugation.
The benefits of this subjugation is being harvested by different groups of minority Abyssinian ruling elites over the last 125 years. To sustain this subjugation, the Abyssinian ruling elites have been killing, imprisoning and looting the Oromos; they have undertaken an act of acculturation that has humiliated our nation. And above all, they tried to persistently weaken the resistance struggle by dividing the Oromos. This last issue is the point of our focus. The Abyssinian ruling elites know well that nothing will stand in the face of united Oromos.
